I’m heading somewhere warm in a couple days, and could not be more excited!! It’s been such a long time since I’ve traveled further than a quick driving distance, and I am so ready for some salty air and sunshine. It’s my friend’s bachelorette weekend, so going to be a fun girl’s trip with lots of celebrating 🙂 Wish me luck on fitting everything in a carry on bag – I’m an over packer to begin with & a little out of practice when it comes to packing haha.
As I’m putting together my packing list, I thought I would share a few of my must have beauty items for a beach trip (or any summer vacation, really!) Beach Trip Beauty Essentials
1. Sunscreeen: I personally love Obagi for my face – it is medical grade sunscreen so it’s pricey, but it’s one of the only sunscreens that doesn’t cause me to break out, so worth the price for me personally. I have also heard great things about the Tula sunscreen (you can always use my code catherinescraze for a discount on their site.) For body, I use and love Coola sunscreen!
2. Hydrating lotion: A must for before & after being in the sun all day long! I am currently using and loving the Raw Sugar Living lotion for body, and Tula moisturizer for face.
3. Lip balm: There is nothing worse than chapped lips, especially at the beach where it tends to be windy. This is one of my favorites (bonus points for having SPF 30!)
4. Travel mirror: I will never travel without my LED travel mirror again – it’s compact, has a hard over (so safe in a suitcase) and the best adjustable lighting!! You can use code catherinepose for a 50% discount.
5. Tinted moisturizer: The IT Cosmetics “Bye Bye Foundation” moisturizer has been a recent favorite of mine – bonus points that it’s SPF 50!
6. Eye balm: The Tula eye balm is an every day must have product for me, so of course it’s coming with me on any trip. It instantly cools and brightens your under eyes – I actually wrote a full blog post on it last year you can check out for more info.
7. Heat protector for hair: I’ll admit that it wasn’t too long ago I learned that the sun can damage your hair just like hot hair tools!! I love the DryBar mist – it smells amazing too!
8. Waterproof mascara: If you know me then you know I’m a big mascara lover, so a waterproof one is a must for me when I’m going to be around water! This is my personal favorite.
9. Athena Club razor: A smooth shave is always nice, but especially important while in a swimsuit! I signed up for the Athena Club razor subscription several months ago & highly recommend. Best razor I have found, and a lot more affordable than the Venus razors I’ve been buying since middle school.
10. Rose water facial spray: I think a lot of us skip our full skincare routines while on vacation, but rose water spray is a great thing to throw in – it takes 2 seconds to spray, and has tons of benefits for your skin (and even your hair!) I found this travel size one that is perfect for a carry on!
