Happy Monday, everyone! If you watch my Instagram stories then you’ve probably seen that each Monday I like to share 5 goals that I want to accomplish that week. There are so many benefits to setting goals, both short and long term: they give you focus and motivation, reduce procrastination, and help measure progress. Plus it’s so satisfying to achieve them!
After getting some feedback from people who love the idea of weekly goals, but aren’t sure where to start – I’ve put together a list of 30 short term goal ideas to help get you started! Just pick a few of these and adjust them to fit your lifestyle.
30 Short Term Goal Ideas:
- Make your bed every morning
- Exercise for 30 minutes a day
- Be in bed by 10:30pm
- Drink more water
- Keep a daily gratitude journal
- Put away laundry as soon as it’s done
- Read a book for 20 minutes each day
- Don’t hit the snooze button
- No phone 30 minutes before bed
- Replace soda with water or tea
- Meditate daily
- Learn something new
- Take your vitamins each day
- Eat meals at home
- Call or text a friend you haven’t talked to in a while
- Clean out your closet
- Do a morning and nighttime skincare routine
- Limit alcohol to weekends
- Stretch for 10 minutes each day
- Do a random act of kindness for someone
- Get 8 hours of sleep each night
- Finish a project you’ve been putting off
- Listen to an educational podcast
- Keep a daily to-do list
- Organize your desk area
- Try a new workout
- Spend time outside
- Do an act of self-care
- Maintain work/life balance
- Walk your dog daily
