I love a good embroidered piece, and this smocked off the shoulder top has been one of my favorites this summer. I’ve been wearing a lot of blue these days (not quite sure why, because I’ve never thought that blue looked good on me) but I saw this top at Loft and just couldn’t resist these sleeves! It also comes in a dress version, but I like that the sleeves are long on the top which makes it a more transitional piece as the weather starts to get cool. I’ve worn it multiple times already this summer because it is my go-to cute but comfy top and it is perfect for so many different occasions.

I paired it with white jeans and chunk heels in these photos, but it also goes great with white shorts and sandals for hot weather, or jeans and booties for cooler weather.

For the fit – I find that this top is extremely comfortable for an off the shoulder. It drives me crazy wearing an OTS and every time you lift your arms to do anything, the sleeves pop up over your shoulder and you have to keep pulling them back down again. But since this top isn’t tight at all around your shoulders, it holds itself up so however you move the sleeves stay in place (yay!)
