Fall Floral Top in Highlands

September 11, 2017

All of a sudden it’s feeling like fall here in Greenville! I’ve been looking forward to the cooler weather and now that it’s here, I don’t know if I’m ready!!

I spent last weekend in the mountains of NC, and on Sunday we visited Highlands for the first time. It was the most adorable little town! There were flowers everywhere downtown, and lots of boutiques and restaurants to explore. We walked around, shot some photos and had the most delicious brunch at Ugly Dog Pub. If you’re ever in that area I would definitely recommend checking out Highlands! I would love to go back and visit the Old Edwards Inn; I’ve heard it’s beautiful.

I wore this $36 floral top from Vestique.  I have to admit I’ve been hesitant about the floral trend, and I really haven’t come across many floral tops that I like until this one. I am loving anything with bell sleeves right now and this is no exception! This top also comes in a really pretty navy color.

These distressed denim pants are my new favorites. They’re super comfortable and stretchy (perfect for brunch!) and I love that while they are stretchy, they don’t get baggy when you wear them. I wasn’t sure if I would like the ripped hem or not, but when I put them on I loved it! Express is my go-to place for jeans right now – there are so many good ones, and they keep having sales! I would recommend sizing down on these.

My jewelry is from CY Design Studio and it is all handmade in North Carolina. I have been wearing this necklace nonstop; it looks great on its own and also layered with other necklaces. Go check out their website here!

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is affected by hurricane Irma right now. It’s absolutely terrifying to see the amount of damage that is happening in the Caribbean and Florida already. I hope that everyone was able to evacuate and stay safe!!
