How I’m Decorating Our Home for Fall

Fall is officially a month away, and I can already smell the pumpkin spice lattes! One of my favorite things about starting a new season is updating our home with some fun new décor, and this year I’m going with a cozy, romantic theme. My husband and I got married last fall, so it’s a special time for us 🙂 Since this year we’ll be celebrating our first anniversary, I wanted to incorporate that into our home décor this season!

If you follow along on Instagram, then you know that we’ll actually be moving in the next couple months! Our new house is currently in the building process, and it’s been so much fun to see everything come together. I really wanted to find some décor that I can use now and then easily incorporate into the new house, and Christmas Tree Shops andThat! always has an amazing selection for every season. I ended up finding a lot in their Fall wedding section, which had several items that can double as wedding décor and home décor. I always love to decorate our bar cart, and I found some really great pieces to spruce it up for Fall! I started by adding some Mr. and Mrs. wine glasses, a couple decorative pumpkins, and a small floral arrangement. I also grabbed a pack of napkins that say “Falling in love” – how fun!? My favorite part might be the floral garland, because it gives the cart such a dreamy look! The bar cart is always an attention grabber, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

Next I refreshed our shelves with a few more fall finds! The “Love never fails” sign on the top was a perfect fit, and I added the mini white pumpkins on either side. I can’t resist mini pumpkins! I also wanted to to include some of our wedding photos on here, and CTS had so many frames to choose from! My favorite is the 5’7 crystal frame – I put it front and center! I also added a couple candles (the pumpkin pie & vanilla scent smells incredible) and another small floral arrangement – I grabbed a couple of these to put around the house!

Pillows are such an easy way to change the look of a room, and I thought the black Mr. and Mrs. throw pillow would be a perfect touch for our master bed! I love that the beading has a shimmer to match the decorative pumpkins around the house. I also grabbed a couple white accent pillows to go with it, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!
