Here’s how it works:
First, they send you a kit which comes with impression trays and paste so that you can make your very own molds. Once the molds are dry, you send them back to the Smile Brilliant lab (they provide a prepaid envelops) and within 3-5 days, you will receive customized trays that are an exact mold of your teeth!
The kit includes two gels: one is a whitening gel, and the other is a desensitizing gel to put on after you whiten. All you need to do is put some gel in the molds, and put the molds on your teeth! They suggest to keep the trays on for 1 hour (up to 3 hours max) so I keep them on for 1-1.5 hours, just depending on how much time I have. After whitening, I will apply the desensitizing gel for about 15 minutes and I have not experienced any tooth sensitivity (although sensitivity levels are different for everyone.)
