The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is just a few weeks away, and I wanted to put together a post to go over everything you need to know about the sale! This sale happens once per year, and unlike most sales (which discount old items to get rid of) the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale features brand NEW items of the season. Most of what is included in the sale will be fall & winter clothes which may feel weird to shop for in the summer, but it’s a great time to get a head start on your fall wardrobe while everything is majorly discounted! I love this sale for stocking up on basics, but it’s also a great time to snag any investment pieces that you are needing. I bought a pair of Vince Camuto over the knee boots (in the picture below) during the sale 3 years ago, and they have been a favorite year after year. Sale Dates:
Nordy Club Cardmembers get early access to shop the sale, and the higher the “status” the earlier you get access.
To get early access, you will need to sign up for a Nordstrom credit card. I signed up a few years ago and have had a great experience – there is no annual fee, and you get points for every dollar that you spend online or in store at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and HauteLook. It works like a reward system, so the more points you earn, the more Nordstrom dollars you’ll receive (free money for more shopping!) Each Club level is based on how much you spend in a year (“influencer” level has nothing to do with being a blogger/influencer.) You can learn more about the Nordstrom card here.

Shopping the Sale:
Not going to lie, this sale can be a little overwhelming to shop because there are over ten thousand items included! If you’re shopping online (which I think many of us are this year) that’s A LOT of pages to look through. Luckily this year, Nordstrom is releasing a preview of the sale starting July 24th! This will allow you to browse and save items to a Wish List so that you can check out faster when it’s time to shop. Things tend to sell out quickly during this sale, so here’s my advice: if there’s something you really want – don’t wait to order it. Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns, so I order what I want immediately and then browse the rest of the sale. Also if you are unsure of sizing, you can order a couple options to try and return what doesn’t work. Nordstrom includes a prepaid return label in every box, so it’s extremely easy to make returns if needed.
Once the preview is available, I’ll put together a list of items that are going to be hot sellers, so make sure to check back then! And as always, when the sale is live I will share all of the best items from each category along with my purchases, sizing info and any restock alerts! Restocks
Like I mentioned earlier, things sell out quickly during this sale, and unfortunately a lot will be gone before the sale even opens up to everyone. I know it’s frustrating – a lot of my wish list was gone before I could buy it last year, and I was shopping early access! Each year, some items are restocked throughout the sale, and some aren’t. I personally keep a list of items that I check for restocks every couple hours (literally) and I share restock alerts on Instagram – so make sure to tune in there when the time comes.

I know this is a lot of info, but this sale is SO huge that it’s important to be prepared going into it! I always say it’s like Christmas in July (except this year it’ll be September) haha it really is my favorite sale of the whole entire year!! I used to wake up at 2am to shop the sale as soon as it it went live, and then drive 2 hours to the closest store to pick up my order. Luckily this year it’ll start at 9:30am ET 🙂
