Personal Update

January 15, 2018

Hi friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! So today’s post is going to be a little different, and to be honest I am a little nervous about opening up.   First of all, I want to apologize for being a little MIA lately. I’ve been slacking with posting on here and on Instagram consistently, and I know I keep apologizing for being “super busy” all the time with no explanation. Ever since I started my blog I’ve been so torn on whether or not to share my personal life with you all.  I’ve gone through A LOT of change this year, and jumping into the world of blogging has been such a good distraction from all of it.

I didn’t tell anyone when I started my blog, except for my parents. I launched this website, created all new social media pages and it was a much needed fresh start. I didn’t have to worry about whether or not people in my life would judge me or get annoyed at me for posting outfits every day. As expected, many people that I know have found my blog and my new Instagram on their own, which is great! And I just want to say that I appreciate you all more than I could put into words. Some of you I haven’t seen or talked to in years, and the fact that you follow me now means so so so much to me. Seriously, THANK YOU!! My blogger friends – You know how thankful I am for you all. In an industry of competition, it’s amazing to have connected with girls who support each other through the ups and the downs of this world. And to everyone else who follows my journey and leaves me messages, comments, or emails with kind words and support, you all are why I have kept it up even when I’ve felt like quitting.

With that said – I feel like I owe it to all of you to be real. Less than two years ago, I moved back to my hometown of Greenville, SC. I bought a beautiful 4 bedroom house with a huge deck and perfect backyard for my dogs. I thought that I would be in this house for many years.. but life happens. Long story short – As a result of the changes I’ve gone through, I’m moving!  I’ll still be in Greenville, just moving houses. So for the past few months, I’ve been extremely busy going through the process of getting my current house sold while at the same time finding a new house for myself (if you’ve never been through this process, it’s SO much more work than you would think!!!) I’ll be making the move in less than two weeks so this is the crunch time, and since I began to box everything up over the weekend it is finally starting to feel real.

And I’m beyond ready for a new start. I’ve been trying my best to keep up with the blog while all of this has been going on, but it’s been a struggle. So bare with me during this time please 🙂 AND if any of you have moving/decorating tips for me please please send them over!!

Thank you so much for reading till the end!!  Since I haven’t touched on fashion at all in this post I will just say that I’m obsessed with the oversized bubble sleeves on this chenille sweater, and it’s only $36!! I’ll link my exact outfit below. I hope you all have a wonderful week!! XOXO
