TGIF friends!! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week! It’s gotten cold (like, really cold) here and all I want to do is bundle up in all things cozy with candles burning everywhere 🙂 My new favorite candle is the Honeycrisp Apple scent from Trader Joes – it smells heavenly! I really want to break in the fireplace (I haven’t used it since I moved into the new house) but I feel like it mighttt be a little early for that still.

Anyways – today I wanted to share my favorite plaid top and two different ways to style it! I’ve gotten so much use out of this top since I bought it because there are just SO many different ways you can wear it. For sizing reference, I am wearing a size small. I usually size up in plaid because I prefer a looser fit.

The first way is paired with a suede mini skirt and over the knee boots. I love this combination because it’s the perfect balance of dressed up and casual. This look would be so cute to wear at a fall festival or to happy hour or date night. I threw a simple scarf over on (because I got cold haha) and I actually really liked how it looked! The skirt fits true to size – I am wearing a size 0.

The second way is over a plain black dress, and with boots again! I left the top unbuttoned in these photos, but you can also button it up and tie it at the bottom and it looks just as cute! If you’re looking for a good LBD, it doesn’t get better than this one. It’s only $56 and comes in TONS of colors – I own 4 of them and wear them all the time.  I am wearing size XS!

Also I wanted to mention my over the knee boots separately because they deserve their own paragraph. These are THE best pair of boots I have worn because they actually stay up on your leg all day without falling. I’ve bought way too many over the knee boots that end up sitting in the back of my closet because it’s too much of a pain stopping to pull them up every 5 seconds. I’d recommend sizing up half a size in these – I typically wear size 8.5 and I ordered size 40. They fit perfect and are super comfortable!
