As many of you know, I spent last weekend in Dallas, TX for a wedding and had an absolute blast!! I’ve gotten a ton of questions about what all we did there, and I wasn’t planning to make this into a blog post (otherwise I would have taken more pictures haha) but hopefully this is better than nothing! The wedding was for a family friend so we had quite the crew – my parents, my brother & his girlfriend, not to mention a whole bunch of other family friends there!
We arrived Thursday night and went straight from the airport to dinner at Neighborhood Services, which was incredible! We ordered several appetizers (we were starving after a long day of flight issues) and I got the scallops for dinner. Everything that we had was amazing, including the drinks! Highly recommend this place for a date night or for dinner out with friends or family.
After dinner we checked into The Lumen Hotel, which is where we stayed for the weekend. The Lumen is a boutique hotel, and the staff was super friendly and helpful the entire weekend! There is a 4 star bar/restaurant there and we ordered room service breakfast every morning – the avocado toast with poached eggs was sooo good! The Lumen also has a driver who will take guests anywhere within 3 miles which was extremely convenient! The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathroom was huge! I will definitely stay there again next time I’m in Dallas.

Friday I went to a bridal lunch at Le Bilboquet which was THE cutest little French restaurant!! I had prosecco, a salad, fries, and multiple desserts (it’s all about balance, right?) and everything was amazing, especially the fries! If I lived in Dallas I would probably eat there once a week.

Friday night the rehearsal dinner was at Iron Cactus, an upscale Tex Mex restaurant downtown. They rented the entire upstairs, and it was a perfect venue! I tried several different things and everything was great, especially the guac! (guac is very important) Definitely recommend this place for the food and atmosphere.

Saturday we had some free time, so we walked around downtown and did some window shopping before going to lunch at Pecan Lodge. The Uber driver warned us that there would be a line, and he was not kidding!! When we were dropped off, the line was literally wrapped around the building. It was insane! We waited it out though and it was 100% worth it!! Between 4 of us, we shared “the trough” which was a massive plate of everything (of course I got a picture of this one.) I am not kidding when I say that this was the best bbq that I have EVER had in my life – the brisket was my favorite, but everything was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this place, but only if you don’t mind a 1-2 hour wait (you can see the line behind me in the picture below!)

Saturday night we attended the wedding & reception, and I wore the most beautiful gown that was sent from Mac Duggal. They sent the dress directly to my hotel, and it arrived literally 10 minutes before we had to leave for the ceremony! I had never tried it on before, and thankfully it fit me perfectly! The dress had a beautiful gold beaded collar and an open back with a gold chain that hung down. It was a dream to wear!!

Overall the weekend was SO much fun, but I feel like we didn’t have enough time there! If you’ve been to Dallas (or live there) comment below some of your favorite things to do/places to eat there! I’ll definitely be making another trip 🙂
